Training

ICTO Training

In order to make the best possible use of the computing facilities and services, ICTO regularly offers training courses to our staff and students on the use of our computer facilities and PC software packages. ICTO also provides training and briefing to our new students in every academic year, so that they can use our facilities and services in a proper way.

Training schedule and details will be announced in bulletin. You may contact icto_training if you have any training needs.

Briefing Sessions for Open Data API Platform

Description:

The briefing aims to let staff and students to have a clear understanding on how to use Open Data API. In the briefing, ICTO introduced:

  • What is Open Data?
  • What is API Technology?
  • Current available APIs and its datasets.
  • Demo on how to implement an application by using those APIs.

UMMoodle Workshop 4 (2017/2018 2nd semester)

Description:

This workshop aims to let teaching staff be more familiar with using GradeBook on UMMoodle. In the workshop, ICTO introduced how to setup a GradeBook and how to use grading tools, such as quick grading, aggregation & calculation of grading and grader reports.

In the workshop, ICTO introduced how to create an Assignment activity and how to collect & grade students’ submissions. ICTO also invited Library for giving an introduction to plagiarism checking tools, Turnitin and VeriGuide.
